Our mission is to make Perilla cultivation and processing a
viable agribusiness model in Bangladesh through research-driven farming, farmer
training, contract farming, and eco-friendly production. We strive to create
value-added products, diversify markets, and generate rural employment,
promoting sustainable growth and self-reliance.
Our Vision
Ecofia aims to transform Bangladesh’s edible oil industry by
introducing sustainable, locally produced, and health-focused alternatives to

The journey of Ecofia began with a simple yet powerful realization — that true progress in Bangladesh must start from the soil. Having spent years in the corporate world, I sought a path that would connect purpose, sustainability, and national impact. In 2019, driven by a personal pursuit of health and a deeper connection to nature, I decided to turn my focus toward agriculture — a field where innovation can change lives.
In 2020, I discovered the immense potential of Perilla frutescens — a nutrient-rich, high-value crop virtually unknown in Bangladesh. Despite facing challenges in climate adaptation, awareness, and resources, I saw in Perilla a unique opportunity to reshape our agricultural landscape, empower farmers, and reduce our dependency on imported edible oils.
From our humble beginnings in Tetulia, Panchagarh, to expanding Perilla cultivation across 12 acres in Bochaganj, Dinajpur, the journey has been one of persistence, learning, and innovation. Each milestone we achieve reaffirms my belief that agriculture can be both sustainable and profitable, while improving the health and well-being of our people.
Ecofia stands today not just as a company, but as a movement — one rooted in the principles of sustainability, self-reliance, and community empowerment. Every seed we plant is a step toward a healthier, more resilient Bangladesh.
As we continue to grow, my vision remains clear: to establish Ecofia as a pioneering force in agricultural innovation, bringing the benefits of Perilla and other sustainable crops to every corner of the nation and beyond.
